About the artist 6 october 1979, Eindhoven, NL Living/working @ Zeist, NL 2002 graduated @ HKU Utrecht, NL 2008-2012 Social Work + Art Education - HU Utrecht, NL Collaboration with Maaike Kramer and Boukje van Iperen @ KEES About the work My work is about people and especially about peoples behaviour. I use my personal history to work out my ideas in art and use family pictures, personal pictures and mine and our memories and perceptions of life. Therefore my works are often biographical, but for me the works can tell anyone's story, not only my own. It's about me and you. It's about people having and using power over others; about taking misadvantage of others; about pretending; keeping up appearances; how we see ourselves in the world and how we look at and judge others; emotions and so on. 2011 - Working on new stuff including big drawings, short film-clips and other media. The new works will be put on the website soon. |
