De Graankiosk (Grain Kiosk)

Wooden threshing machine, steel, text, ceramics, wood, rye.

The Graankiosk at Woest&Bijster is an old threshing machine transformed into a site-specific sculpture and kiosk. I created this work for Woest&Bijster together with artist Janneke Kornet. We combined historical research, food, and sculpture. During the exhibition, we organized three events where the public could learn about the area’s arable farming history and rye skillet recipes from the 17th and 18th centuries.
