New mural for PUNCH! exhibition space Amsterdam.
L: New Constructivism (the start)
M: Shift #3 – Things Are Falling Apart – 271 x 260 cm, 2020
R: Shadow #1, wallsculpture/painting

These murals were specially made for the ‘2D’ exhibition in ACEC Apeldoorn. Curator and artist Art van Triest invited four installation artists to exhibit with him and to make work that should not be further than 30 cm from the wall. For these murals I reused shapes from a series of small paintings (R) to build new two-dimensional constructions. In doing so searched for the subtle play between flatness and spatiality.

L: Shift XXL #1 (2020) 470 x 275 cm
M: Shift XXL #2 (2020) 200 x 150 cm
R: New Constructivism II (2018) 9 x 18 x 24 cm
