Memory Construct is an installation made for THE MESSAGE AS MEDIUM at De Cacaofabriek in Helmond (NL), a groupshow curated by artist Geertje Brandenburg. The exhibition shows artists who make use of text and language in their work.

I grew up about 20 minutes from Helmond, in a village called Geldrop. Thinking about it brought back a flood of memories, which became the starting point for this installation. Houses are more than just structures—they are archives of memory. Within them, we store our past, present, and even our future in photo albums, cabinets, and on shelves and walls. Memory does not reside only in the mind, but also in the objects we surround ourselves with.
